Diocesan HIV & AIDS Coordinator: The RevdCanon Sipambo Ludidi
Revd Ludidi was appointed as the HIV & AIDS Coordinator for the Diocese of Port Elizabeth around the time of the launch of Isiseko Sokomeleza in April 2003. His appointment was a natural extension of his role as head of the Diocesan Health and Education portfolio.

His history: After teaching at a school for Blind and Deaf Children in Umtata for 4 years, Revd Ludidi entered the ministry and was ordained in 1976 after he graduated from St Bead’s College. He served in the Diocese of St Johns until 1990 when he was moved to Port Elizabeth. He has also just recently changed parishes and is now the Rector of St Simon of Cyrene in Uitenhage.

Father Ludidi is married to Themjiwe – they have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Their children are Nkosanzana (32), Langa (30), Luyanda (28) and Luke (27).

Father Ludidi has a great love for ecumenical relationships. In 2002 he received an award from the Eastern Cape Provincial Council of Churches for his work in building bridges across denominational lines.
