Diocese of Port Elizabeth
The Diocese of Port Elizabeth falls within the Southern regions of the National Province of the Eastern Cape. This is a largely rural province with landscape ranging from rolling hills & towering mountains to the extensive, vast open spaces of sheep farms in the interior karoo. 83% of population is Xhosa speaking with others speaking Afrikaans (9.6%) or English (3.7%). 20% of people above the age of 20 have not received any kind schooling.
