Diocese of George

The Diocese of George is divided in two distinct management areas – on the one hand, the coastal area which is relatively densely populated and, on the other, the wide, vast distances of the Karoo, extending far into the north. The two areas are separated by the Outeniqua mountain range and vast expanses of forest. Afrikaans is the most widely spoken language (more than 60%), with English and isiXhosa making up the balance.
