Siyafundisa Sponsors Holiday Camps

Camp Picture 06.09All across South Africa during the June/July School Holidays, youth from Siyafundisa’s Peer Education and Life Skills programmes were gathering together for Holiday Camps.  These camps were designed to build interest and engagement in these programmes.

Lessons were interspersed with devotions, games and other activites, time for private and/or guided reflections, introduction/reinforcement of leadership and teambuilding skills and more.

Camps typically were made up of youth from more than a single site – providing an opportunity for youth to meet their peers from other parishes.  They were accompanied to the camps by their Peer Education Supervisors.
